Computer Lab and a Model

This morning we were in the computer lab and learned about Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator! I had used these programs before but had never really known how to work them, so I was glad to gain some skills on how to edit pictures and how to create a color palette from a picture. That will definitely come in handy when creating a color story for a clothing collection inspired by a specific photograph!
During lunch we heard from a graphic designer and a recent Parsons alum. It was interesting to hear the graphic designer talk about how designers think in the industry and to hear the recent alum talk about her design process for a couple specific assignments she did during her time at Parsons.
After the lecture, we had a female nude model, and this time we were focusing on the negative space so that all of the positive space blended together into one form. The negative space will be painted with black gouache. I've started the gouache, but it doesn't have to be finished until Monday.
